"On The Bed"

On the Bed
Staring at the ceiling,
Shoulder to shoulder.
Sharing all our memories,
As the night gets older.
Lying on the bed; lying on the bed.
Past is not important,
Only here and now.
Reliving the days events,
When did we get here and how?
Lying on the bed; lying on the bed.
Lying here we can be anything.
You can be Wonder Woman,
I can be Superman.
Ceiling fan blows our cares away,
The roof can be heaven,
The floor can be hell.
And we’re somewhere in middle,
When we’re lying on the bed. (Just lying on the bed.)
We talk of our sadness,
All our hopes and dreams.
Pillows surround us,
All is right it seems.
Lying on the bed; lying on the bed.
Wine has made us drowsy,
But we’re wide awake.
Your arms wrapped around me,
The clock just ticks away.
Lying on the bed; lying on the bed.
Lying here we can do anything,
You can be a Princess,
I can be a King.
Imagination takes us far away,
We’re going the distance,
Yet fearing to stray.
And we’re somewhere in the middle,
When we’re lying on the bed, (Just lying on the bed.)
Nothing is impossible,
Tomorrow is today.
While we’re lying on the bed.
